Was 2016 the worst year?

The worst part was almost completely losing contact with my only close friend in real life. There were no arguments, we just stopped communicating as much, and before that, we used to spend a lot of time together.

Interesting, I also cut ties with someone I considered my best friend, also without any obvious arguments. However, I wasn't particularly upset; after some reflection, I came to the conclusion that he's a terrible person, although it might just be rationalization on my part.
