I haven't played the first part, but I really like the second one, especially for its atmosphere and style. I heard that during the development of the second part, the main artist who created the graphics for the first part was fired, which is why the second one is a bit inferior in that regard. Although, I think it's fine. The Legions are made on a ten-point scale.
And by the way, regarding seasonal events... We're in the middle of persimmon season.
