I had the same bug (I wrote about it somewhere on the forum),
because I didn't take the nearest Elven town (what a brilliant flanking maneuver I made...). After that, the Elves' population starts to grow, and you receive a quest to kill a hero.
If you don't capture it, the quest won't appear, and you won't be able to complete it. :D
P.S. What else can you do? I cursed and replayed... :mad:
Where do these ideas for maneuvers come from? You suddenly appear in an open space, attacking a weakly defended enemy castle, and of course, the reaction to this is predictable. But why are you even trying such maneuvers?
