It started with the harassment of mediocre users towards the then-still-active Mafia section, when they hysterically complained that it wasn't appropriate to have off-topic content on the Heroes forum.

In my opinion, the fragmentation happened even earlier. By the way, I was also in favor of disabling the message counter in the forum games section back then. Now I understand that if it weren't for the Mafia, Hv would be at least twice as dead.
