Sacred Haven of Debauchery

Izmailov organized lavish feasts for the nobles of the entire region, during which peasant girls and women belonging to him were brought in to entertain the guests. The general's servants would travel through the villages and forcibly take women from their homes. Once, while hosting such a "festivity" in his village of Zhmurovo, Izmailov felt that there were not enough "girls" and sent carts to bring more from a neighboring village. But the peasants there unexpectedly resisted – they refused to hand over their women and, moreover, in the darkness, they beat Izmailov's "oprichnik" – Guska.

Many of our landowners were quite accomplished libertines…

The enraged general, not delaying his revenge until morning, attacked the rebellious village at night with his servants and hangers-on. After scattering the peasant huts and starting a fire, the landowner went to the distant meadow where most of the village's population was sleeping. There, the unsuspecting people were tied up and executed.

When receiving guests at his estate, the general, in his own way understanding the duties of a hospitable host, invariably provided each guest with a maid for "intimate relations" for the night, as delicately stated in the investigation materials. The most important visitors to the general's house were given very young girls, twelve to thirteen years old, to be defiled, by order of the landowner.

In Izmailov's main residence, the village of Khitrovshchina, two outbuildings were located next to the manor house. One of them housed the estate office and a detention cell, and the other housed the landowner's harem. The rooms in this building had access to the street only through the rooms occupied by the landowner himself. Iron bars were on the windows.

The number of Izmailov's concubines was constant and, according to his whim, always equaled thirty, although the composition itself was constantly changing. Girls aged 10–12 were often recruited into the harem and spent some time growing up under the master's eye. Later, the fate of all of them was more or less the same – Lyubov Kamenskaya became a concubine at the age of 13, Akulina Gorokhova at 14, and Avdotya Chernyshova at 16.
