I decided to check. The easiest and most illustrative way to do this was on a test micro-map. Yes, it really works that way: I cast Prayer on my green dragons, then remove it.

Because immunity to magic should not have exceptions. Or else, Dispel should not be level 1, but 5 or 6. I don't even remember ever being able to remove spells from enemy creatures with magic immunity, except when I have the Orb of Vulnerability. The Dispel spell is cast not on monsters, but on spells. And it is quite logical that the monster's immunity in no way can affect the removal of the spell cast on it. After all, "Dispel" essentially neutralizes a spell that was cast earlier.
But the removal of "Entangle" looks a little illogical. because Entangle is not magic - it is a property. But even here, in the description of this spell, it says that it also removes the effect of properties.
Hmm... can I remove the Double Strike property from Wolf Riders or Vampire Lords? ;)
