“Two Seasons: Summer-Autumn 2016” Tournament. Online games for rating (reports, discussions).
Very tough game. Awkward road layout and very few objects for farming + the AI also delayed me a couple of times, and no one persistently wanted to catch a log. I entered a super treasure zone, and there were 3 Dragon Fly Hives with terrible guards of 30-40 cyclopes each due to resources and Pandora's Boxes. But I found 2 rings for HP and spotted a flask hidden behind rocks in the underground. By rebuilding Dimension Door, I managed to collect the elixir and with it take my first empty Dragon Utopia in the super treasure zone. The next turn, my opponent jumped there, ran Arlash on speed, who was the top player at the time, and took the second Dragon Utopia in that treasure zone. Afterwards, I focused on finding alternate routes, avoiding the opponent with full control and terrible stats, and leveled up Dessa, who arrived on week 4. In the end, I took 8 Dragon Utopias, but there were only tanks for the +all, and my opponent, just short of reaching my next town, burned down the Alliance of Angels and the KSh, with a 25-point difference in combat stats in the opponent's favor. It was getting really grim, but then, using a scout, I spotted the Cloak of the Condemned not far from my AI's town. I only managed to pick it up with my support hero, but didn't have enough movement to haul it out. However, the opponent had no bracers (I had 2). I bought myself out, traded artifacts, geared my support hero for maximum attack with Tactics, and with +4 speed outmaneuvered the opponent's Monarchs, then with the bracers and elixir I managed to finish off with Dessa. Thanks for the game.
