"THE ROAD TO OLYMPUS"

There were roads, but they were very long; the Dragon Fly Hives and confluxes didn't spawn. At the end of the first week, I found Boots [of Speed] and later Moandor caught a Log [artifact] — that was the only thing that made me happy. On the third week, I broke into the treasure zone, where there were several Dragon Fly Hives, but most importantly, a Blue Cap and a Shield +4 All. I already had Town Portal at home; from the observation tower, I spotted a village not far away. I decided to replenish mana at home and use a scout hero to take the village via Dimension Door, and then clear the treasure zone further from there, since there were Dragon Utopias a bit further in it — or to intercept Gunnar, who seemed to be heading to that village as well. As a result, Gunnar takes the village, performs reconnaissance, and Town Portals away from there. Presumably, he should have been out of mana and flew to a town where I could reach him with 2 Dimension Doors from that village. That's exactly what happened: the scout hero takes the village, and Moandor intercepts Gunnar in the castle completely out of mana.
