They wouldn't just come up with that. What if it falls? We don't know, and it seems we won't find out. Ghost, you need to look at things realistically and not deny what you don't know. (I don't know either, but I trust scientists, and that's how I learned.)
That's exactly what I'm doing – looking at things realistically. So many predictions have been made, and none of them have come true! How can you talk about such a distant science as astronomy when we haven't yet grasped all the laws of the universe, and the teachings of astronomy are only superficial knowledge. When we start building cities on the Moon or Mars, then maybe I'll believe something – if I live that long.
