Siberia Championship 2016

In short, there's a direct S7 flight from Moscow at 9:30 PM (5600 rubles), arriving at 5:30 AM on the 3rd – should I take it? Or is that too early?
And there's a return flight at 9 AM on January 8th, a direct S7 flight from Gorno-Altaysk (13400).

I think we should focus on these flights. They also work for me: I've checked all the airports for layovers. Either they don't connect well, or it takes too long to get there. You could even go through Almaty to Samara, but the waiting time is too long, although it's a better option in terms of price compared to Moscow...

Or is that too early?

In my opinion, it's perfect. The journey from Novosibirsk to the destination isn't short: I think it will take at least 8 hours...
So, by the time everyone arrives and we do this and that, we'll probably get there in the evening at best.
