well, if we're talking about it, the first decent fantasy was written by Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), and all other fantasy works originated from there. It might seem boring at first, but if you get into it, you'll really enjoy it. I've read the book about four times, and now I'm downloading the audiobook of The Hobbit. It's like The Lord of the Rings, but it focuses on Frodo's uncle, Bilbo, when he was young. If you're interested, send me a private message.
