Respawn wasn't great, but there were Dwarf Cottages + crypts + a few hydras, wyverns, and basilisks. And 2 hives within reach. Dragons were guarding a shield from the giant set. I managed to place hydras in the castle + build a fort in the village for wyverns. I was amazed how Tazar took down about 65 cavalry, losing only all the gnolls and 2 basilisks. Moving on, I found Galtran. I attacked him and crept along like a turtle. It worked out thanks to morale and luck (since I had +2 of both). A somewhat lucky victory, because the hydras and wyverns got morale 2 times and struck with luck.
