[SEASONAL EVENT] ☠ Black Masquerade ☠

The event is timed to the scariest and most autumnal holiday, which I disliked for a long time and, to be honest, still don't respect very much, but I think it's a good reason to get moving and warm up a bit before the persimmon, because you're all terribly sluggish, you don't write in my expa, you don't spam in the fludilka, even the guys from the politics thread have gotten kinda down, shame on you.
The event will be quite short, but I'm launching it this early for two reasons. First, we need to take a break before the persimmon so everyone has time to really miss it. Second, one of the tasks is best to start preparing now, and the other, while easier, is still quite time-consuming.
First of all, of course, sign up! And then send:

1. A picture! The picture must show you in a masquerade costume. Especially interested individuals can, of course, make a costume and take a photo. For those too lazy to do this, there are a bunch of cool generators, as well as DeviantArt, VKontakte, Google, and other collections of drawings of varying degrees of awesomeness. The character should resemble you or your HeroesWorld persona and also correspond to some kind of "mask" - a collective image, a character from a favorite game/movie, or just something fun. Be sure to indicate who you are cosplaying! I'll need this for the second stage. I'm giving you a deadline of October 17.
2. A song! Song samples are above. Send something gloomy and scary. Since half of my playlist consists of such songs, at first I wanted to just suggest dumping a ton of music purely for atmosphere, but then I realized it's not interesting and no one would bother sending or listening, so we'll do a standard vote. This is simpler, I'm giving you a deadline of October 13.
3. A story! There are two options here:

   • Scary. The scary story doesn't necessarily have to be about HeroesWorld, but scary things must happen in it. Mountains of corpses, pools of blood, we all die, and the like. It could be something mysteriously-eerie-Victorian-Gothic in the vein of Poe, Unfathomable Freaking Eldritch Abomination in the vein of Lovecraft, blood-guts-exploded in the vein of King, or modern creations a la creepypasta or SCP.
   • Funny. The funny story must be about HeroesWorld and thematically related to the upcoming holiday. It could be a masquerade ball, peaceful tea gatherings, wandering the night streets, a contest, mass candy consumption, artistic pumpkin throwing, and other entertaining activities designed to heal the nerves of readers of the stories from the previous point.

Mixing themes is not forbidden, meaning if HeroesWorlders come to have fun, and then a maniac with a cleaver shows up and kills everyone, that's fine. Since stories are a sore spot for all of us, I'm giving time until October 25!
