Heroes VII

Hello everyone, this news is certainly shocking! The worst part is that there will be no more patches for the seventh installment, and all the remaining bugs that weren't fixed will remain, just like it was with the sixth game. And unfortunately, there won't be any more demons in the seventh game, unless the fans decide to create them themselves.

Honestly, I didn't expect Ubisoft to abandon the Heroes series so quickly, or did they decide to shut it down themselves? I thought they would still add demons, but now, well, I hope they managed to fix at least the most serious bugs.

In general, of all the companies that have been in charge of the Heroes series, only Nival, in my opinion, is capable of bringing the series back on track, but alas, the future of the Heroes series is now uncertain.

Just a few more thoughts out loud.

Someone has probably written something similar somewhere, but I'll chime in. I think Heroes is just a side project for Ubisoft. They clearly don't want to revive the franchise, they just release a mediocre new installment every few years to show that they still own it. You can see it in their attitude towards the series, and that's what makes it even stranger. If they don't want to invest in the Heroes series and bother with this universe, why don't they sell the franchise to another company that is interested in this genre? Look at their list of projects; they are mostly action games. It's clear that Ubisoft is focusing on that direction, unlike Blizzard, which is working on Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. I think everyone should focus on what they do best, and Ubisoft clearly isn't doing that with Heroes, or they don't want to. But they also don't want to sell the franchise, so it's a lose-lose situation.

Many people have noticed that they only brought the game to a more or less acceptable state and then abandoned it, which is strange. They did the same thing with the sixth game, and it's a pity for the series. What will happen next? Will they release another mediocre installment for the next anniversary of the Heroes series, and then abandon it again? No, they need to take the franchise away from Ubisoft; otherwise, there will be no new developments. Why are they so greedy? Sell it and let it go, let a competent team take over the franchise and invest in the Heroes universe. They've decided to save money on everything: music, the engine, 3D models, animations, and instead invest everything in advertising. But it would be more logical to do the opposite: invest the maximum amount in development and create an immersive atmosphere. Then the game would be completely different and wouldn't need advertising. But instead, they saved money and didn't make a profit.

There is still one small hope, namely the modders. As I understand it, the seventh installment doesn't have the same ID restrictions as the fifth, so content can be added more or less freely (including new factions). The problem is that the game isn't very popular, so there are almost no modders working on it (I've only seen something more or less decent on heroescommunity).

In theory, the demon models are the same as in the sixth game, so they can be used, plus there are new neutral demons, and the engine allows it. I think that if the fans take it seriously, they can create a faction with them and a story about them.
