If you hadn't started that thread, no one would have even noticed the deletion. Threads in the Off-Topic section don't last very long; they quickly run their course. Or arguments start. Read those threads yourself. You can't shut them down now, even if you wanted to. In this case, Hacker acted incorrectly by starting the threads. And I'm not comparing you to Tigra. At least with him, I could have a constructive conversation.
