Tournament rules for "One for All".

I don't understand it at all. And I still don't understand the point of having 4 players. Make a bunch of groups of 3 players (6 in a group, for example, with 1-2 places advancing) or 4 groups of 5 players on a team... What's the point of a draw? It just prolongs the finals...
