We played for about 6 hours. My opponent got carried away, thinking I was using cheats. And the final battle was like this: I had more mana, but he had better stats, plus I had 20% resistance (base) + 15% (artifact) + 20 Rogues running around, and my army seemed stronger, but he had Haste, and I had Slow. It could have easily gone in his favor due to the +3 morale. One spell reduced my Rogues by 20, and something else hit my Ducks with magic. If he had retreated, I would have offered a draw or postponed the game. But first, let's go back to the beginning: My opponent had about 57 Hives and 1 Angel, with no other buildings constructed, and he hadn't cleared out the center much, except for the Hives. - I thoroughly explored the area, finding 3 or 4 different resource nodes, but the respawn point was tiny. I kept thinking, "I'll come back later, I'll come back later..." Eventually, I got lucky and found a maxed-out Hive and 3 Consorts, all ready to be converted. I also found 2 hidden unique items. If it weren't for the hidden Elven items, I would have lost somewhere early on. - I cleared everything I needed with 14 Elves without upgrades. I also got lucky that Oil and Earth on Kira were perfect, and I had enough upgrades for +mana. - On turn 111, I got Mephala and gave Kira a spellbook right away. Then, immediately after, I built 2 maxed-out Necropolises. I had 25 Kentauros in my army. And on turn 114, a hidden Elven item appeared nearby in the darkness. - The trade was -3400 for me. - Thanks for the game, and thanks for following the Heroic game! :cool:
