It could have been resolved through a private message, without portraying Hacker as a tyrant and censor. The situation with Tigra is similar. He was also just expressing his opinion. The problem is that this opinion offended the other forum members. You're doing the same thing (only without the swearing). Freedom of speech is not a license to do anything. Respect the freedom of others. Hacker also has the right to close topics that have become a breeding ground for negativity and arguments. And by speaking out against this, you violated his rights. I'm not arguing that you're not trying to do what's best for the forum. Many people are. But not many openly accuse the administration of censorship. By opening the "Freedom of Speech" thread, you didn't do anything to benefit the forum – you just opened the floodgates and negativity poured out. None of the forum members said, "Great topic, let's all discuss it!" It just turned into a series of banal accusations. As for discussing the situation: everyone has their own authority and their own responsibilities. And the fact that no one else complained besides you and a few other forum members suggests that Hacker is doing his job in a way that satisfies the majority. Maybe I'm making things worse, but that's because the forum is becoming increasingly gloomy. It's the off-topic sections that are developing, not the Heroes sections. I'm not against off-topic discussions in general, but there should be limits. IMHO, IMHO.
