I had a similar experience. Back then, the police were still called милиция. I filed a complaint, and their supervisor promised they would be fired... But in general, I don't want to offend anyone; I know that there are many honest people working in law enforcement, but on the street, I try my best to avoid encounters with law enforcement officers! Because they keep bothering me, demanding my passport, asking where I live, where I'm registered, and if I live in a different district, why and how did I end up here? Once, I was walking past some drunk patrol officers, and one of them, who was probably going to the bathroom, asked me something like where a certain building number was located. And he addressed me as: "Hey, kid...". In general, even though I am an absolutely law-abiding and honest citizen of the Russian Federation, meeting law enforcement officers on the street really stresses me out, even when they just walk by.
