Regarding the attack, it's quite obvious that using the fountain is a trap. Oh, if only we had an Assassin.
It's not a given that there will be few guards or anything like that at the fountain, and we don't have many capable people anyway. I like the idea of taking the stone from our competitors, preferably right after the battle, when they've been weakened.
