It might be possible to subdue a nameless guard and explore the territory, or perhaps during any festival, try to poison their supply of ale with my blood and cause a commotion with ghouls. The only problem is Ihara and the guys from the other dawn; I don't see an obvious way to get rid of them quickly.
It's better to find role-playing reasons to buff certain characters. In theory, you could first try your luck with Carvelos and use his stone, if possible, to heal Asinmir.
