And so on. You just don't realize how many people are killed by bears, lions, and tigers. And the worst thing is that death is inevitable. I don't respect firearms. They require maintenance. They can fail. But hands and knives won't fail. A helicopter crashes in the taiga (jungle) - you will be eaten by a bear or a tiger. But you can cut up a cougar, jaguar, wolf, etc., more manageable predators. And they probably won't even attack. You can beat a wolf 1 on 1 without a knife (the strongest bones of a higher primate + striking technique vs. the fragile ribs of canids and felines). I just don't want animals to eat people.
