Read the rules more carefully:
"TEMPLATE SELECTION: DRAFT ACCORDING TO THE 1-1-....-1-1 SCHEME FROM THE LIST OF UNPLAYED templates for each player. An UNPLAYED template is a template that the player has not yet used. Thus, such a template may be present in the list of both players or only one of them before the draft. The blue player starts the draft. The selected template for the game is removed from the list(s) of the player(s). The initial list of 8 templates (crown, summer, m3, mask, labyrinth, rainbow, spider, sun) is restored after the player has played through the entire list of templates."
