That's why I like the campaigns from HoMM3:RoE the most. Firstly, it's the familiar M&M world and familiar heroes. Secondly, there's a noble and pure goal — fighting against fascis... I mean, against the occupiers of the Homeland.:smile04: And Song For The Father gives me actual chills — especially the final cutscene with Lord Haart' same punishment... such a piercingly dramatic plot.:smile25: As for the HoMM3 add-ons, I liked the campaigns less — in an attempt to outdo the original's own epic story, the authors over-hyperbolized the plot of AB, and in SoD, it's not so much the plot that' same good, but rather the innovations in the form of powerful combined artifacts... you get so caught up in how cool they are that you don't even think about the narrative threads anymore.
