Things were going more or less well, I was taking graveyards and crypts, built Grands in the Citadel, captured the secondary town pretty quickly. But then I dove into a portal and decided to attack 50-99 ogres for a scroll (I thought it was level 5). But there turned out to be exactly 99 of them for a CONTROL scroll! On skirmish, Carl! In the end, I crawled out of there with 15 Grands, spotted the opponent's stats and used the overview to see that he already had an Angel. I decided not to drag it out.
