Things were going more or less fine — I took graveyards and crypts, built grand champions at the Citadel, and secured the secondary rather quickly. But then I dove into a portal and decided to attack 50-99 ogres for a scroll (I thought it was level 5). However, there turned out to be exactly 99 of them for a CONTROL scroll! On skirmish, Carl! In the end, I crawled out of there with 15 grand champions, revealed the opponent's stats, and took a peek with the overview — saw he already had an angel. Decided not to drag it out.
