I started reading another collection by Poe. Now I see him as a pioneer of the horror genre and an ideological inspiration for Lovecraft. There are still many unnecessary words and elaborate expressions, typical of old books, but overall it's not bad, and in some places, you can see attempts to write something satirical, but it's more of a humor aimed at his contemporaries. The horror stories are better, although more naive, but the atmosphere is well-captured.
