How do I create a quest in the prophet’s hut?

Um, there's writing on the left side of the hut that says the hero needs to complete a task – kill 10 griffins – and on the right side, it says the reward is 5000 gold. But in the journal, there are only those lines from the quest's title and description; there's no 5/10.
