By the way, why were both players penalized? It turned out that they physically couldn't complete the round on time, and there was a mistake in promptly informing the judges. But why not flip a coin to decide the winner, or award 0.5 points to each? Why immediately reduce both players' chances of competing further? Logically, in a round, a total of 1 point should be awarded between the two players, and if neither is disqualified, it seems strange that both receive zero...
And if the mistake happens again, they could simply be removed from the tournament; I think that would be a more logical action.
