Well, I'm not against a shorter option, because I'm afraid I might get completely exhausted during a long tournament on my first try. But we also need to coordinate with vacation time; due to bureaucracy and our boss's vacation, it's not very easy to schedule something in July, while the longer tournament has a later date, and it will be easier to adjust if needed.
