I paid a total of 7K for the castle and color, plus another 500 from Dani for rerolling my beloved trash info-necro. We played without restarts, I think. I had a marketplace on the road next to my castle, 2 native dwellings in the tavern, and on turn 1-1-1 two hives were revealed behind simple guards. The only downside of the map was the very distant GO — even at full speed with expert Logistics it was 2+ days away. By turn 1-2-1 I had gathered 7 Angels and 24 Wyverns; on 1-2-2, before leaving, I took an excellent Dragon Utopia (trash-tier: Wings, +3 all stats, +2 all stats), losing the Ogre and 6 Wyverns. Given my focus on AOTD, these stat artifacts made me happy. As always, I was only missing the damn Skull Cap. On 1-2-3 I boosted into the center, grabbing another 2 hives with my remaining troops deeper in the respawn for a total of 10 Wyverns. I don't remember which GO I hit without Oil (Shakti had trained Fire Magic; Earth appeared much later), so I left 1 Angel and a few more Wyverns there. Right after that, I took another Dragon Utopia (tier-2) with a lot of junk, but it had the Skull Cap! My opponent's stats were showing around 30, but AOTD with combat stats under 20 was reassuring. I tried to find the KSH but never did by the end of the game. The center was split into two halves; until the end of the second week, we each farmed in our own half. I moved to a Snow adjacent zone, which turned out to be very good in terms of hives. On 1-3-2, Crag Hack arrived with combat stats of 30+ and took my village on the edge of the Snow area, staying near it until the timer ran out. His army was thin, so I decided to attack. Crag Hack had a Cape and a Bolt dealing 1000+ damage, but my stack of 75 Wyverns carried; in the end, all died except for my 21 Wyverns. Crag Hack turned out to be wearing Bracers, which was quite pleasing. It was interesting that both of us had underleveled Advanced Air Magic (1-3-3 :D). If either of us had had Expert Air, Mass Haste could have heavily tipped the scales, but as it was, it came down to the wire. Thanks for an interesting game!
