Well, I don't think so. How long do the matches last, an hour and a half or two? How many goals are scored on average per game? 2-4? How many of them can be considered beautiful, 1-2? The rest are just someone kicking randomly towards the goal and accidentally scoring, while a clumsy goalkeeper jumps in the opposite direction. And between the goals, there's just aimless back-and-forth play and sluggish passing. And how many actual minutes of enjoyable gameplay can you get from watching such games? 5-10? It might be different for everyone, but I don't feel very motivated to watch that. If you're playing yourself and feel involved in the sport and enjoy a higher level of play (supposedly), or if you're yelling with friends over a beer (where the whole point isn't really about the game, but about socializing), that's somewhat understandable. But if you're watching this depressing stuff alone after work or on a weekend, and if this is your unpretentious taste, then there's not much to be done about it. That's just my impression.
