It wasn't anything special, really. The main reason I started playing was that I had gold on the first day, which let me buy 7 or 8 heroes. Plus, I spotted a Chest near the castle with not-too-hard guards and a Prison. Later I scouted three Dragon Fly Hives and a Market. The Prison gave me junk — some Griffin Conservatory rags — so I didn't even buy them. After that, it was business as usual: maximizing gold to build Angels. I buy an Angel, grab two Chests. But the Dragon Fly Hives were all up to 100 snakes, so at 121 I took them with three Angels. Then I found an external Angel dwelling and took those. After that, at 27 ducks, I went into a Griffin Conservatory, and it turned out to be the max version. I fought poorly with the scout hero, lost 7 ducks. Next, I grab a Shield +4 All and go for GO — Green Dragons. 8 Angels handled it just fine; one hit broke a stack of 5 dragons — easy kill with only losses from overeating. And then it was a merry-go-round, especially when the center turned out to be my hometown. I found 4 more external Angel dwellings in the treasure zone. I gathered a big stack, destroyed all the Dragon Utopias (7 of them), and went for the opponent. Huge stat advantage and army advantage too: 21 Archangels vs. 57 Griffin Conservatory ducks.
