02.06.2016 Redwhait HP (Blue, Tower, Solmyr, Solmyr) def Maretti (Red, Fortress, Tazar, Tazar) Balance 146
Bought tavern for 900 and gave the color for 1k, overall satisfied with the trades.
After all restarts, Pekadril showed up, but luckily, the right hero turned out to be native. In the end, there was only one road to the secondary town and mountains all around. Roads neither to the external dwelling nor to the native village spawned :smile04:.
The only interesting things were an external dwelling of gargoyles and a couple of pillars for leveling. Septienna appeared, which helped a lot later.
The ore mine was placed for me across a mountain and was a week away
I started pushing towards it and on the way cleared guards of a couple of obelisks.
On day 114, I planted 1000, took the mercury mine, and broke through to the secondary town. No gold or ore in sight for the near future. Visited a couple of obelisks, saw dirt and snow, realized the Grail was nearby because
On day 115, I took the native secondary town, revealed the Griffin Conservatory and Boots of Speed. Solmyr got Air and Intelligence, which suited me fine. The passage to the center was guarded by cyclopes + wizards :smile04:
On the move, I roughly checked where the Grail could be and outlined its possible location. Lucky with the mountains, they greatly reduced the digging area.
On day 116, I set Pekadril to dig, and Solmyr captured the Griffin Conservatory and an external dwelling of gremlins and mages. Still no ore, so in frustration I built a marketplace at home.
Day 117 - Pekadril said: "Nothing here." With other pawns, I finally found an ore mine, so golems were built at home :). Summoned two more heroes for digging.
Day 121 - Halon was also unlucky with digging, but fortune smiled on Septienna, and a joyful Pekadril carried the Grail home, but there was no chain. Solmyr captured a scroll of View Earth and went for the Boots of Speed.
Day 122 - Planted the Grail at home :smile12:
Solmyr, having taken the Boots of Speed (at the cost of 40 gremlins :smile04: ), killed another 7 cyclopes + 3 growth cyclopes. Since the entire map was now revealed, I could monitor the opponent's movements and saw he had broken into the center. He was preparing to take both central towns.
Day 123 - bought out at home and Solmyr killed -40 griffins in the level 3 Griffin Conservatory.
What happened next, I want to forget and not remember. I figured that 120 gremlins, 30 stone gargoyles, 12 golems, 1 mage, and 35 mana would take down 110 griffins, but I was sorely mistaken . Result: a predictable loss in the Griffin Conservatory, leaving another 36 griffins there:( . The next day, 7 mages and a few gargoyles with the help of a ballista finally cleared the Griffin Conservatory.
On day 126, the opponent takes the Griffin Conservatory in the center and delves into the treasure zone. It turned out to be small, sandy, and empty (4 mines, 2 quests, 2 hives), but the opponent didn't know that yet. On my turn, I break through the cyclopes and halve the wizards. Valca with logistics rushes in and takes the central town. The opponent didn't take the second one; both are Necropolis towns. I buy Solmyr out there and kill a pawn that could have reached me.
Maretti saw that my army only had 3 angels. He had 2 angels, 30 greater basilisks, 5 wyverns, 10+ wasps, gnolls, and greater flies. Despite this, he decided to head into the treasure zone.
Then a long chase ensued. I took the level 2 Griffin Conservatory and started building the Mage Guild. Converted all buyout on week 3 into 200 skeletons. Found a scroll of Armageddon, and Septienna got Fire magic. Immediately devised a plan to kill Tazar. :smile28:
Tazar returned on day 134 and leveled up on 2 angels near his external dwelling. I blocked him with a pawn on my 5 angels, but his 13 defense saved him. He bought back home, and I pulled back the angels. Then, using week 3 buyout and growth from all weeks, he cleared the external dwelling of 50+ cyclopes and merged his army.
He was at the walls of my Necropolis town on day 137, and I was ready to meet him. With a citadel and chain lightning for 630, I wasn't too afraid of him, but he decided to head towards my external dwelling, probably hoping for some goodies. I had to attack on day 141. I boosted skeletons to 250 and attacked.
Tazar deployed with Tactics, all forward except the angels. I had first strike due to +1 speed, but I still feared dying in 2 rounds because there were 20 mighty gorgons, 20 wyverns, 2 angels, 70 basilisks, and 10+ wasps. In the end, Tazar cast a single Haste on the growth units and killed 3 angels. In response, I killed his angels, flies, and half the basilisks. In the second round, I cast another Chain Lightning on the wyverns, while thinning my own 80 skeletons and buying back for 10k, which I was quite satisfied with.
Then Tazar went to clear a double external dwelling of 100+ greater dendroid guards :D and then continued running in the sands. I took his main town, and further pawn battles ensued, where, thanks to a decent gold income, I managed to win.
On day 145, I left Maretti with no castles, and on day 146, I finished off the last pawn, leaving Tazar alone. Tazar was returning to his main town. I gave Septienna +3 spell power, and bought another +3 spell power for little Solmyr from the traders.
On day 147, I attack with Septienna, a greater gargoyle, and Armageddon for 430 since nothing with speed above 7 remained, and she valiantly dies, taking a considerable part of the army with her :smile16: . After that, Solmyr attacks with all remaining force (1+1 angels, 1 hydra, 170 skeletons) and immediately finishes the growth units and basilisks with Chain Lightning, leaving 10 wyverns, after which Maretti surrenders.
Thx for playing.
