Is diplomacy necessary?

Diplomacy is still evil! You can certainly use diplomacy in tournaments, specifically for that purpose. But you can also make "Eagle Eye" and "Mysticism" useful, thanks to tournaments. And in the game, it's like cheating. One player has diplomacy, while the other has been building and gathering troops... and then, suddenly, they become a Diplomat.
