I still think that it strongly depends on the context. For example, the scene where "Shiro transfers mana" was terribly forced into the narrative, which caused dissonance during the reading process. But if it is explained by preceding events, the atmosphere is right, and so on, then why not? Sometimes they are read deeply and explain the relationships between characters even better.
