Effectively, the author of OX is Sav and it's up to him to decide where it should be
I still consider myself the author of the HotA OX.

But for the sake of fairness, I will list all the people without whom OX would not have appeared in its current form.

1. asm - the author of the implementation idea.
I had wanted to make a sensible OX in HD for a very long time, ever since I learned about OX in VT, but I had an extremely vague idea of which direction to dig. The developments of VT would have served as a wonderful starting point here.
At one time, asm asked me to integrate HD into VT - I refused. Then after some time, asm asked me to take over the development of VT, being sure that I could also finish OX. I either refused again or just ignored his proposal altogether, I don't remember. But after all this, I simply couldn't just go and ask him for the OX developments :)
And other members of the HotA team were in no hurry to ask them.
Therefore, I absolutely honestly stole them. I analyzed and reversed the VT OX code.
I had tried to do this before without much effort, but only the last attempt last autumn was successful.
In 3 days of work, I obtained a partially functioning (relative to what worked in VT) OX. But these were practically just an idea and a sketch of the implementation.

2. Sav.
Having assessed the volume of work required for reversing the necessary areas of Heroes that were dark to me, and the time I could spend on it, I came to the conclusion that I couldn't do without help. And I turned to Sav for it.
Sav provided me with all his developments in reversing the original code (in this he had progressed further than anyone) - this was years of work.

3. The one writing these lines.
And so the work began... at Stakhanovite speeds. After 3 months, the Wizard OX tournament already started. Another +6 months of improvement and bug fixing, and we have what we have today. But the work is not yet complete. There are a number of unresolved nuances, and work on intellectual interruption lies ahead.

0. ZVS Slava Salnikov, author of WoG. His developments were used by asm, Sav, and me.
