In the early versions of the computer game “Sid Meier’s Civilization,” many players were surprised by Gandhi’s aggressiveness – after all, he was supposed to be a model of peacefulness. Gandhi actually had the lowest possible level of aggression, equal to one. But when transitioning to democracy, this level decreased by 2 for any nation, which, in Gandhi’s case, resulted in a value of -1, which was equivalent to 255, i.e., maximum intolerance. And the democratic Gandhi immediately began to threaten all other states and also used nuclear weapons if they had been developed.
