At the beginning of the game, when creating a character, you are given 30 points to increase the character's attributes. All attributes start at 8.
Strength..............................8
Agility........................8
Endurance.................8
Intelligence......................8
Wisdom.......................8
Charisma.........................8
For each increase to an attribute up to 14 points, you spend 1 skill point. If you increase an attribute that has already reached 14 points, you pay 1 more skill point for each subsequent increase, with a cumulative increase of +1 skill point for every 2 increases in the attribute.
example:
You have 20 points left
Strength.................13
You have 19 points left
Strength.................14
You have 17 points left
Strength.................15
You have 15 points left
Strength.................16
You have 12 points left
Strength.................17
and so on...
After the game starts, you can only increase attributes every 4 levels - that is, when you reach levels 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc. You can only increase one attribute by 1 point at a time, and the previous restrictions during character creation are not taken into account.
Bonus attribute increases are also possible for certain actions!
Strength - affects the damage dealt by a specific type of melee weapon and the ability to carry heavy items.
Agility - affects the handling and damage of blasters and the ability to successfully dodge attacks in melee or ranged combat.
Endurance - affects the character's hit points and resistance to physical damage.
Intelligence - affects the number of points that can be spent on improving skills and the ability to learn, repair, and create mechanisms.
Wisdom - affects the number of power points (may be simplified), the ability to defend against the effects of specific types of power, and the ability to successfully use this power on an enemy (mental disciplines).
Charisma - affects trading, damage from direct damage power disciplines, and the ability to persuade a character, either through power or through simple conversation.
