After all the restarts, I managed to get Gurnisson and a decent amount of gold, plus a large conflux in my area, along with some power-ups. My path to the second town was heavily blocked, but capturing both gold mines (121) solved that problem, and the ballista unit made my fights easier. I got tactics from the witch hut and earth magic at level 4. Once he gained experience in earth magic, I learned the "Slow" spell in the dungeon and took a size 3 conflux on the grass (126). The next day, I fully controlled the conflux in my starting area without any losses. 131 started demon farming with +2 HP and returned some quest artifacts (20 Medusa Queens, 25 Swordsmen). My opponent gave up the next day, seeing my hero with 18/8/8/5 stats.
