I'll also remind you that in the days when TE and WT were actively played (I realize many didn't experience that era), tournaments for all versions were placed in the General section.

Somehow nobody was bothered by it, even though the competition there was fierce, holy-flamers shook HeroesWorld, the CIS cup passed from hand to hand, etc.

So in my opinion, someone is getting a bit too greedy...
