If we want a high-quality tournament, then we need to organize and run it in a high-quality manner. Otherwise, is it even worth calling it a CIS tournament?

In the first few years of the new format, there was still the concept of a regional qualifier for the CIS. Now, it is no longer relevant. This is the Open CIS Tournament. Everyone has the right to participate. And, considering the current situation, we should be glad that around 20 players consistently participate.
I assure you, last year, with the exception of the final, the game of Heroes was explored in sufficient detail. And even in the final, there was an exemplary demonstration of how to play Heroes, and how not to. Even at the stage of drafting the initial strategies.
But nothing prevents you, or anyone else, from showing a masterclass in organizing and running the CIS tournament. Our reality is that we don't really choose the organizers; every year, a couple of people take on this burden, not even realizing what a hassle it actually is. But this year, the level of alcohol, not in the blood, but specifically in the conference room, exceeded all imaginable limits. And I am honestly surprised and impressed by those who were able to maintain a high level of play in this extreme environment. I am glad that, despite everything, new faces are appearing in the tournament, and well-forgotten old ones are reminding us of themselves.

As for the quality, yes, you are right, yes, it is fair... everyone is in favor. Are you willing to pay for the quality of organization and execution? And how much are you willing to pay, if you are willing to pay? Just off the top of my head.

In reality, many would initially agree, but when making the final decision about whether or not to go (a meeting of Heroes players would not be as effective), I think the percentage of those who would not go would be higher.

If you call Egypt "Nowheresville," the percentage of people who go will also be lower.
If you call a grandmother a grandfather, the percentage of people who will have sex with that person will also be lower...
But the fact that someone calls something something else doesn't change the essence; whatever our CIS is, that's what the CIS championship will be.
