I always play on the highest difficulty levels, and I don't understand how some people manage to complete the game so quickly. Starting with zero resources, I managed to capture a sawmill with ore in the first week, and then the tedious process of building a minimal army to clear the territory began. By the time I had gathered a small, weak army, various AI opponents were already crawling towards me with almost entire legions. They just started running around my cities like crazy. Moreover, almost all of the enemy's top heroes were roaming around my territory. I won the map on the third attempt, playing on a map of South America with treasure chests (in the other attempts, I simply didn't survive due to being too poor). In the middle of the game, all the AI opponents suddenly became much weaker against me – I suspect this is because I visited as many libraries as possible. I've also noticed that as soon as a hero's stats start to significantly exceed those of other AI opponents, they all seem to freeze and lose the ability to harass my castles. In short, I can't believe that some people claim to complete the game on a difficult level in just 100 turns. Well, whatever
