People die because of you – you reproduce new ones to replace them, not to kill them. And what difference does it make who they were if you're creating new ones and they're no longer "those people"? In any case, nationality isn't that important if the people are decent. If they're scientists and generally useful people, then all the more so. This isn't some drunk scammer.
