I think I played well too =)
I had 4 angels from my zones, and I got 2 more from the conscript pool, which was in the central zone with the Necropolis.
I gave away the +4 hat because of a mistake on the timer; I didn't have time to close the teleport.
Initially, I was preparing Clavius for the final battle because I had taken expert water magic for him and had a prayer scroll, because I couldn't find any haste.
And yes, that hat ultimately cost me the game.
