There are those who love the combat aspect. They don't care about the story. They just want a new map with monsters generated at the beginning of each new game. Yesterday they were fighting a peasant squad, and today they're fighting dragoniggers. And the developers of the games have been ignoring these guys (players) for about 10 years now.
