The only absurdity in the M&M universe is the Chronicles series, which introduced several inconsistencies. But 3DO developed them separately from NWC. However, since 3DO had "very specific bosses," Caningham accepted them as canon.

To be honest, I haven't played M&M games older than the 6th installment because my English isn't very good. (By the way, do you know where I can find a Russian translation?) To be honest, I've never seen it explicitly stated that the planet is called Enroth.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a Russian translation for the older M&M games. Here's a description of light magic in M&M7 (the action takes place on Antagarich):
Light magic spells are among the most powerful in Enroth. Only clerics and sorcerers can wield light magic spells; they cannot be chosen when creating a character. Instead, light magic must be learned and mastered during your travels.
