Before the save, the opponent left the game twice during his turn, citing connection issues/computer problems; the second time, he was pinged for about 10 minutes.

After the save was resumed, he clearly didn't want to continue. I reloaded the game three times, and the second time, his turn lasted about 10 minutes. We continued playing... Gunnar had significantly improved, with 3 cities, and everything was going well - apparently, the opponent was upset and left the game during his turn, of course :D. When I asked if he had saved the game, he gave the following gem:
"if i can save will tell you that i save".

Most likely, this guy won't confirm it, and I wrote the report more as a warning to others. Moreover, other opponents have noted similar cases, I quote: "yes... but I didn't say anything because the advantage was huge, and I decided not to play any more games with him. In that case, it wasn't that he disconnected and said something like 'sorry, reload,' but he crashed, and only appeared a couple of days later, saying that he had computer problems."

P.S. No need to consult a fortune teller; it's probably just another clone from Eastern Europe. A few days ago, Azoa_ appeared, also known as =Azoa=, also known as... this player probably won't give up anytime soon)
