Perhaps because WoG isn't an official editor, ERM scripts allow you to create a completely different game. And not everyone may have WoG. Moreover, if you create maps for WoG, you can easily create them for HoMM3 as well. And also – this is a section for HoMM3; maps for Heroes 1, 2, 4, and 5 are not accepted here. And there is a separate topic for WoG.
