Discussion about the Haven website.

Regarding the music. Here's another opinion.
The music itself is not bad. However, I have some comments.
1) In none of the versions is there a consistent theme from beginning to end. The theme changes throughout the track.
2) Both tracks start very abruptly. Without any kind of build-up.
3) In the first track (in my opinion), the sound of the surf is unnecessary. This city (in my opinion) should not be associated with water, but with a developed civilization.

Here are some more suggestions:
1) The music could have been borrowed from classical composers. As was done in Heroes 3. It's enough to adapt it a little and use it.
2) Work more with people who are not involved in the project. I mean on forums, websites, on the internet in general.

I'll answer everything at once: The music was created based on and in the style of Paul Romero's city melodies for Heroes 3 (there's nothing "borrowed" from classical music there;). The sound of the surf was initially chosen by the team as an accompaniment to the city melody of the Harbor. After several months of testing, this option still seems organic for the city, so no changes are planned in this regard. Regarding the "consistent theme." The city melody is built in a classical sonata form (if that means anything to you). Exposition (with a secondary theme) - Development - Recapitulation.
The second melody was created for naval battles (there is also another one for battles). There, for the most part, there is a "continuous development," creating an atmosphere of a storm.

The website does not contain misinformation, but information that is current at the time it is posted on the website. Unfortunately, the pace of city development does not allow us to focus on the website, and in addition, we have not yet been able to arrange the move to a new server (for the same reasons). But it is better to wait a little longer and see the entire city, and at the same time play it, than to track updated snippets that we would provide once a month, in my opinion. Although updates will be coming soon anyway;)
